How we count
Messages, seats, and what happens after the cap.
Message
Any inbound customer message that Kayan reads and responds to. Outbound push notifications or tracking updates you send manually do not count.
Paid seat
A login that can work the inbox, change settings, or override Kayan. Invite them from the workspace. Extra seats bill at the rate on the plan.
View-only
You may add unlimited view-only logins (for example warehouse or accounting) that can read tracking and orders. Any login that can type in chat or change settings needs a paid seat.
When you go past included volume
- Around 90% of your included messages for the month, we send an email or SMS heads-up. We do not cut off your storefront at 100% mid-cycle.
- After 100%, the card on file may be charged automatically for an additional message pack for that billing period. Pack size and price are always shown at checkout and on the invoice, in your billing currency.
- Each additional paid seat is billed monthly at the extra-seat rate shown on the plan row, in the same currency as that row.

Invite people now. Each package includes paid seats. Extra seats bill at the published rate. View-only logins do not take a paid seat. Enterprise and Multibranch have no seat cap.

Do I need a paid plan to start?
No. Free opens the workspace with no card. Paid starts after Stripe.
Is there a trial?
No. There is no trial.
What does the message number mean?
Inbound customer messages that Kayan reads and answers. Manual outbound from you does not count.
Can I skip the storefront or Kayan?
Yes. Many shops sell only in chat. You can sell from the inbox yourself.
How do I get Enterprise or Multibranch?
Write to us. Both are custom. Enterprise is unlimited messages and seats. Multibranch is for more than one branch. Same system.
